Join our team as an Electrical Designer and play a key role in shaping cutting-edge automated machinery and industrial control systems. In this dynamic role, you'll design and document electrical systems, create detailed schematics, select components, and ensure compliance with industry standards. You'll collaborate closely with mechanical, controls, and software engineers to deliver fully integrated automation solutions that drive innovation and efficiency. What You Get toDo:
Design and develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical. Select and specify electrical components such as PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and power distribution devices. Prepare accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) and maintain complete electrical documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems into automated machinery and production lines. Ensure all designs meet applicable standards (IEC, NEC, UL, CSA) and company requirements. Support panel assembly, installation, commissioning, and troubleshoot issues during build and testing phases. Drive continuous improvement and standardization of electrical design processes. Provide technical support for system maintenance and modifications. Performs other duties as assigned, which are reasonably related to the scope of the position and necessary for business operations. What You Bring to theTeam:
Associate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field with 1-2 years of experience, OR 5-10 years of relevant hands-on experience without a degree. 2+ years' experience with AutoCAD Electrical, including smart blocks and automated features. Knowledge of PLC and HMI hardware (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider) and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, ProfNet). Understanding safety circuit design and standards (SIL, ISO 13849, Category 3/4). Ability to interpret and create electrical schematics, panel layouts, and accurate BOMs. 2+ years' experience with motion control systems (servo drives, stepper motors). Familiarity with industrial networking, IoT integration, and CE marking standards. 1 year of experience with ERP or PLM systems for BOM management.Physical Requirements:
