Step into Your New Role Kleinfelder is looking to add an engineering co-op or intern to join our team in McClure, OH! We are looking for candidate who can thrive and learn in a team-oriented workplace. This position will offer a flexible work schedule and reporting location and allow for limited work from home opportunities along with office days.

Required Experience:

Desire to learn, or experience in, electrical engineering associated with industrial facilities and commercial buildings, Strong verbal and written communication skills. The ability to organize priorities and multi-task effectively. A thirst to learn and achieve continuous improvement in a team environment. A can-do attitude and problem-solving mindset are essential. A strong commitment for accountability to project quality and schedule.

Education:

We ask that students are pursuing a degree in engineering or engineering technology and have at least one prior co-op experience with an engineering firm, general contractor, or other company.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Experience using Word, Excel, Bluebeam, Outlook, and Teams to effectively communicate with internal and external clients. Experience in AutoCAD and Revit preferred. Adhere to organizational standards for quality and performance. Read and interpret construction plans and specifications, applicable building codes, and design codes. Assist in reviewing/checking calculations prepared by others, drafting of plans and details, and preparing meeting minutes. Assist in reviewing and processing submittals and shop drawings, performing field observations and field measurements to record existing conditions. Ability to assist in performing field observation and field measurements to record existing conditions. Must be able to work collaboratively with other design disciplines to coordinate with the overall design. Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, willingness to climb, work at heights, over water, and other austere conditions for inspections and/or observations. Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.
