Junior Electrical Designer

Job Title:

Electrical Project EngineerJob Description We are seeking a full-time Electrical Project Engineer with 1-5 years of experience, ideally with building design experience in power distribution systems, lighting and lighting control systems, and low-voltage fire alarm and communications systems. Candidates may be a recent college graduate with an electrical engineering degree or an electrical power/lighting engineer with experience in the building and construction industry. This role will work closely with project engineers, project managers, and senior staff; coordinate with other trades; and play an active role in the daily design, engineering, and production of projects. Responsibilities + Collaborate closely with project engineers, project managers, and senior staff. + Coordinate with other trades to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems. + Engage actively in the design, engineering, and production of electrical projects. + Utilize Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD for drafting and design purposes. + Apply knowledge of national, state, and local building codes and industry standards. Essential Skills + Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering. + Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD. + Familiarity with AGi32 lighting software and SKM power software. + Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and other common engineering tools. + Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate within a multi-discipline design team. Additional Skills & Qualifications + EIT status (or PE licensure) preferred, but not required. + Additional certifications such as

LC, RCDD, LEED

AP, or WELL AP preferred, but not required. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills. + Positive, team-oriented attitude. Work Environment This position is primarily office-based with a limited hybrid schedule. Flexibility is allowed once the individual is established in the role. The work environment promotes collaboration within a multi-discipline design team and encourages a positive, team-oriented attitude. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $58.00/hr.
