VDC/CAD Detailer

$30-$40 per hour- VDC Detailer for our VDC Department in Seattle. We're hiring a VDC Detailer who has foundational Revit experience, strong attention to detail, and an interest in building a career! What You'll Do?

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain electrical BIM models in Revit using construction documents and submittal data Produce accurate shop drawings, layouts, and installation details to support field execution Create assemblies and support prefabrication efforts through model-based detailing Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure model accuracy, completeness, and constructability Coordinate with project teams to resolve clashes and design conflicts Follow

standards, file management protocols, and documentation practices Assist with model coordination using Navisworks and other VDC tools Day to

Day Work:

Revit detailing of electrical gear/lighting/components based on submittal data Generate and revise shop drawings based on project needs and team feedback Participate in coordination meetings with VDC team members Review models for clashes, accuracy, and installation feasibility Collaborate with field teams to incorporate real-world constructability into models Manage model files, links, and versions in accordance with company standards Support multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities and fast-track schedules Occasionally visit job sites to support coordination and better understand field conditions

Desired Qualifications:

1 year of VDC, BIM, or Revit experience preferred Working knowledge of Revit Exposure to Navisworks is a plus Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with office and field teams Interest in electrical systems, construction, or virtual design and construction (VDC) Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced environment Coursework in CAD, BIM, or construction preferred About Us VECA is one of the largest electrical subcontractors in the Pacific Northwest, built on long-standing relationships rooted in trust and integrity.
