- 55•VDC Lead for our VDC Division in Seattle.
Responsibilities:
Lead electrical BIM/VDC efforts across multiple projects, ensuring quality, accuracy, and constructability Oversee development of Revit models, shop drawings, and fabrication packages Coordinate electrical systems with other trades (MEP) using Navisworks and BIM workflows Perform and enforce QA/QC standards on all models and drawings Manage project deliverables, schedules, and priorities across the VDC team Coach and support VDC Coordinators and detailers to improve performance and consistency Maintain and enforce BIM standards, file management, and best practices Day toDay Work:
Review and guide Revit modeling and drawing production for active projects Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and field teams to resolve coordination issues Run clash detection and lead coordination efforts with other trades Monitor deadlines and adjust team workload to meet fast-track schedules Provide technical guidance and feedback to team members Utilize Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Excel for coordination and trackingDesired Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in BIM/VDC, Revit modeling, or electrical drafting 2+ years of project lead or team leadership experience Associate's degree or technical training in drafting, engineering technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) Autodesk Revit proficiency (2020 or newer required) Experience with Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM coordination workflows Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial construction Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities About Us VECA is one of the largest electrical subcontractors in the Pacific Northwest, built on long-standing relationships rooted in trust and integrity.
