This role assists panel designers by helping move approved designs into production through EPLAN drafting support, wiring routing, manufacturing file preparation, documentation updates, and production support. This position is intended to be a technical growth role, providing hands-on experience in UL 508A panel design, manufacturing, and quality control, with the opportunity to develop into a Panel Designer or Quality Control Specialist over time. This role is not responsible for original electrical design, customer-facing engineering, panel layout creation, or BOM/component specification. Instead, the focus is on supporting approved designs and helping ensure projects are ready for production. Key Responsibilities Design & Documentation Support Route panel wiring in EPLAN for approved panel designs. Export wire processing files to the Komax Zeta 630 wire processing system. Process shop redlines, as-built changes, and schematic revisions. Update approved schematics for repeat or low-change projects (horsepower changes, fuse sizing, and other approved revisions). Model and maintain electrical components and macros in EPLAN. Assist senior panel designers with documentation updates on larger projects with minimal variation. Manufacturing & Technical Support Generate and export CNC files for drilling, cutting, and tapping panel components and enclosures. Assist in sourcing approved replacements for obsolete, discontinued, or long lead-time components. Quote repeat or low-complexity projects with minimal engineering variation. Support preparation and completion of manufacturing packets for production. Quality Control & Shop Support Spend consistent working time in the panel shop Quality Control (QC) area assisting with inspections, documentation review, and panel verification. Help identify and communicate drawing or documentation discrepancies discovered during manufacturing or inspection. Assist production personnel and support panel shop needs when required. Qualifications Preferred Education or Experience Technical degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in: Electrical Technology Electromechanical Technology Mechatronics Automation Technology CAD/Drafting Industrial Electricity Controls Technology or related technical fields Preferred Skills Familiarity with EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar software. Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Basic understanding of electrical theory, industrial controls, or UL 508A environments. Strong attention to detail, organization, and willingness to learn. Manufacturing, industrial electrical, automation, or panel shop experience is a plus. Employees will gain exposure to industrial control panel manufacturing, EPLAN, wire automation, CNC manufacturing files, UL 508A standards, and quality control processes.
