J2 Company is seeking a knowledgeable and tenured in electrical applications. An Electrical Trade Instructor and Safety Trainer will educate apprentices in electrical theory, NEC standards, and hands-on skills while enforcing strict safety protocols (OSHA). They will assist in developing curriculum, manage lab environments, assess student progress, and prepare electrical apprentices for careers in commercial, or industrial electrical trades to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities Instruction:
Deliver classroom and hands-on training on electrical theory, wiring, motor controls, and blueprint reading.
Safety Enforcement:
Teach, demonstrate, and enforce safe practices regarding tools, electrical systems, and OSHA compliance.
Curriculum Development:
Design lesson plans, lab projects, and assessments to meet industry needs and NCCER standards.
Evaluation & Mentorship:
Evaluate student performance, track attendance, and provide guidance for industry employment.
Lab Management:
Maintain, inspect, and organize tools and electrical equipment in a safe laboratory environment.
Required Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Previous experience as a journeyman or master electrician, typically with several years in the field.
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's preferred); Instructor certifications or teaching experience is a plus.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
Instructional Skills:
Ability to adapt to different learning styles, use instructional technologies, and communicate complex concepts clearly.
Background Check:
Must be able to pass a background check. Del Mar College +5 Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods, work from ladders, and lift/move equipment.

Pay:
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour
