Work onsite Dallas location. Designs, develops, programs and maintains control systems. Analyze, and implement solutions to complete projects' requirements. This role is responsible for analyzing systems, implementing solutions, and executing projects. Conduct detailed analysis, implement solutions, and troubleshoot issues. Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree required . Engineering, Electrical or Controls engineering degrees highly desired. Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience , preferrable in a manufacturing, plant, automated warehouse, "pick, place, package, & ship", or automation of material handling equipment or conveyors. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills. PLC programming experience, Ladder Logic, Structured Text , or very nice to have someone with experience with WAGO hardware such as
WAGO 750
Series controllers or
WAGO PFC200
Series PLC's, WAGO 750 XTR Series or other physical hardware tools, and experience with CODESYS per
IEC 61131-1
in linux environment, WAGO I/O System 750. Familiar with basic LAN communication protocols such as EtherNet, internet protocol, IP, Modbus TCP, any HMI (Human Machine Interface) and Profinet, or any industrial Ethernet communication protocol used to exchange data between controllers (like PLCs) and devices (like sensors, drives, and robots) in automation environments. Any material handling systems, warehouse automation, or conveys experience is a plus. Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical. A person with at least some hands on experience with AutoCAD Electrical, or some other Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools with Electrical features. Ability to read equipment wiring schematics and create input/output lists from schematics. Good written and oral communication skils. Excellent organizational skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to develop plans, make timely decisions, and set priorities with sense of urgency. Ability to squat to examine and troubleshoot equipment. Ability to handle basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment, power tools, volt meters, amp meters. Willing to travel. (Up to 10%). Preferred Skills Demonstrated experience in control system design and maintenance. Knowledge of motion control systems and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for any plant automation, or material handling, or conveyors, or box cutters and equipment applications. Knowledge of machine vision systems and barcode reader integration, often found in fulfillment distribution centers or warehouse shipping centers doing "pick, place, package, and ship". Experience or exposure to industrial robotics and/or collaborative robots (cobots) such as UR, Fanuc, ABB (Asea Brown Boveri) the best controls in the world, KUKA, or other comparable platforms. Familiarity with safety devices, E-stops, light curtains, safety relays, door interlocks and their integration into PLCs safety I/O. Familiarity with
UL508A, NFPA
79, NEC, and IEC codes and standards. Company has an excellent reputation in material handling automation industry in the US with some worldwide customers.
