Job Description

Senior Instrumentation and Electrical Designer Location:

Months Pay Range:
$60/hr to $70/hr
Responsibilities:
Full detailed design and drafting work, P&IDs, PFDs, equipment layouts, plot plans, and record drawing updates using AutoCAD. Assign and manage electrical equipment tags, instrument tags, conduit, and cable numbers across projects. Coordinate with Project Managers, vendors, contractors, and engineering teams to keep design packages moving and materials available on time. Support project scopes, man hour estimates, material takeoffs, data sheets, and material requisitions as needed. Travel to facility sites as required and provide guidance and support to the CAD Operator and broader design team.
Must-haves:
P&ID and PFD experience, must be able to create and modify piping and instrument diagrams and process flow diagrams, not just redline them.
Electrical and instrumentation tagging:
must know how to assign equipment tags, instrument numbers, conduit, and cable numbers following industry standards. AutoCAD proficiency Material takeoff and vendor coordination, must be comfortable doing MTOs, developing material data sheets, and communicating directly with vendors for quotes and availability. 10+ years of relevant I&E design experience in a pipeline or industrial project engineering environment.
