In the role of Technology Designer II, we'll count on you to: Design integrated low voltage systems Calculate electrical power loads, determine UPS requirements and design of system-related single line diagrams Complete set of construction documents Understand that assignments have objectives that require investigation of many variables Independently perform low voltage technology system/electrical engineering assignments with broad general instruction from Project Manager as to the results expected Write specifications covering all low voltage technology system matters, perform reviews and work directly with owners as a part of project team Assist other Designers, Project Coordinators or technicians as needed, and be responsible for work in all phases of the low voltage technology design process Conduct QA/QC on the work of other Project Coordinators or Technicians as needed Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications RCDD (Registered Communication Distribution Designer) certification Familiarity with Microsoft suite of programs Familiarity with Bluebeam REVU Experience with Data Center and/or Federal projects. High level of communication and coordination with a local team or teammates across the company. Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks independently, on schedule and under budget. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written). Ability to work in a high-velocity environment managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and workmanship quality. Knowledge of engineering drawing and design standards and practices. Strong desire for continuous learning and professional education. Applicants selected may be subject to periodic government background checks when required by client. Preference given to local candidates Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or combination of education and relevant experience Minimum 5 years experience in low-voltage system design Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company.
