Full Job Description Electrical Designer Benefits:

Rate of Pay:
$32.00 - $62.00
Hourly Locations:
any of the following Salt Lake City, UT; Billings, MT; Anchorage, AK; Bellingham, WA; Walnut Creek, CA Position Description Design Leadership Lead complex electrical design projects while coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines. Manage construction package development from concept through completion. Technical Mastery Design comprehensive electrical systems including motor control, switchgear schematics, grounding plans, and hazardous area classifications. Perform detailed vendor document reviews. Project Coordination Develop schedules, manage 3D design software integration, and ensure code compliance. Lead small to medium projects with increasing independence.
Must-Have Qualifications Experience:
8-15 years in Electrical design on Oil & Gas, Refining, and/or Petrochemical projects
Education:
A.A.S. in engineering OR 5+ years Oil & Gas/Refining/Petrochemical experience
Technical Skills:
Advanced AutoCAD, NEC-hazardous area design, field as-built capabilities
Certifications:
TWIC card capability, English fluency
Leadership:
Junior designer mentoring, multi-project prioritization Essential Requirements Stage-gated project process expertise Construction package development ($1MM to $30MM TIC) Code, regulation, and client standard compliance Microsoft Office applications proficiency Heavy industrial facility field evaluation Preferred Qualifications Strong 3D design capabilities Control Systems design experience Hands-on experience with Revit software is highly desirable Industrial facility on-site experience Lighting & heat trace design software applications MicroStation experience What We Offer Project Leadership Lead significant electrical design projects while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with senior engineers. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to sit/stand, type, and perform computer work for long periods of time. Frequent use of hands/fingers for computer entry and answering calls. Able to perform occasional bending, lifting, and reaching. Must be able to lift 15 lbs. if necessary. Visual acuity sufficient for reading documents, computer screens, and technical materials. Ability to communicate effectively verbally in-person, by phone, and via video conferencing. Hearing ability adequate for meetings, presentations, and collaboration. Ability to concentrate and maintain attention for extended periods while managing multiple priorities. Ability to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends as business needs require. Able to travel to job sites (local and/or remote) as project needs require. Able to work in heavy industrial environments while wearing required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, fire-retardant clothing, gloves, etc.). Able to climb ladders, stairs, and work on elevated surfaces. Able to walk on uneven terrain and surfaces. May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and industrial environments during site visits.
