Job Description
GFT is seeking a Electrical Project Designer to join our Buildings and Places Business Group in Fife, WA! At GFT , the electrical team is dedicated to creating efficient, innovative solutions for electrical systems, ensuring comfort and sustainability in every project. From energy-efficient lighting and power systems to advanced electrical vehicle and photovoltaic system designs, our team contributes to a resilient and sustainable built environment, pushing the boundaries of building system design and optimizing performance while addressing the unique needs of each facility. Explore some of our signature projects. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Participates in the development of project design concepts and criteria. Understands client requirements as they relate to the electrical scope of work; aligns and develops detailed design documents including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, reports, and calculations. Performs or directs junior staff to perform electrical engineering calculations (e.g. electrical load calculations, illumination level calculations). Models or directs junior staff to model systems in Revit or AutoCAD.
- Coordinates with the client, the project team, and other disciplines to design full electrical systems. Evaluates vendor submissions to assure compliance with contract documents.
- Consults with construction personnel concerning field conditions, sequencing, scheduling of activities, and constructability of designs. Reviews and responds to contractor submittals and requests for information.
- Performs site observations and collects field data.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $91,000- $125,000.
