SCHEDULE
1st Shift Exclusive (Flexible 7:00 AM or 9:00 AM start) TYPE Full-Time, Permanent, W-2 AUTH US Citizen or Green Card Holder required This is a rare leadership-level controls role within a company that has never had a layoff in its entire history. This position was created due to significant company expansion, meaning you will have the opportunity to spearhead continuous improvement projects and engineer control solutions for newly fabricated machinery in a stable, collaborative setting. What You Will Be Doing Providing expert troubleshooting and technical support for complex electronic control systems and high-speed drive systems to maximize equipment availability Executing PLC programming modifications and upgrades using Allen-Bradley and Siemens suites to enhance machine performance Implementing SCADA solutions to improve data acquisition and real-time system monitoring Leading continuous improvement and design projects by utilizing root cause analysis to engineer control systems for upgraded or internally built machinery Collaborating with cross-functional teams on equipment installations, including the safe use of rigging and forklift equipment for heavy industrial loads Maintaining a safe, 5S-compliant work environment while participating in a shared on-call rotation to ensure facility-wide technical coverage
What We Are Looking For Education:
Associate Degree in Industrial Automation, Electronics, or a related technical field
Experience:
5+ years of experience in automation controls or a high-level industrial maintenance role
Software Proficiency:
Strong background with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLC/HMI software suites
Technical Literacy:
Mastery of complex engineering documents, including machine schematics and electrical diagrams
Systems Knowledge:
Comprehensive understanding of AC/DC drives, single/three-phase wiring, pneumatics, and hydraulics
Physical Proficiency:
Hands-on experience with power tools and forklift/rigging operation for heavy machinery
Reliability:
A solid, stable work history and residency within 45 minutes of the Brown Deer area
Strong Pluses:
