Back Controls Engineer Quality Control Pewaukee , Wisconsin Perm 65000 Feb 5, 2026 $65000.00 - $95000.00 Alexander Technology Group is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join a technical engineering team focused on designing and delivering industrial control systems that meet customer requirements. This role involves control panel design, PLC programming, and
HMI/SCADA
graphics development, along with system testing and startup support. Light travel may be required. Position Summary This position performs a variety of highly technical duties as part of a team delivering control systems solutions. Responsibilities include schematic design, PLC programming, and HMI graphic design and animation. The engineer will test PLC code through simulation and HMI testing prior to release to quality control and will support projects through QC and successful startup. Key Responsibilities Gather and review project requirements based on flow diagrams and equipment lists Design and specify control cabinet equipment and create electrical schematics Develop, program, and test PLC control logic Create and test
HMI/SCADA
graphic interfaces Meet scheduled completion dates and project milestones Develop time and material estimates for customer-driven modifications Perform project coordination activities for assigned projects Provide regular status updates to project stakeholders Create clear and concise technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle Follow established PLC and HMI standards to ensure consistent deliverables Support system validation, quality control testing, and final startup activities Participate in customer training sessions as needed Perform additional technical duties as assigned Core Competencies Continuous learning and technical skill development Strong planning and organizational skills Effective problem solving and analytical thinking Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills Professional communication and cooperation across teams Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred; associate degree or technical school training with relevant experience considered 1-3 years of experience in control system design, PLC ladder logic programming, and HMI development preferred Equivalent combinations of education and hands-on experience will be considered Technical Skills Experience with PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley (SLC, CompactLogix, ControlLogix) Experience with
HMI/SCADA
