As an Survivability Engineer you will support the Specialty Engineering Team and your responsibilities may include: Applying electrical, electronics and physics theories to execute various tasks related to Survivability engineering field Ensuring that military space vehicle and missile designs, from the component level to the system level, will meet performance requirements during and after exposure to specified environments; these environments include natural space radiation Conducting technical planning, specification requirements derivation, modeling and analysis, design, test planning and execution, documentation, requirements verification/validation to support overall system needs and act as technical consultant for management and customers Will join the enterprise Survivability Engineering group and will be partnered with other authorities
Basic Qualifications:
Understanding of one or more of the following: Natural Space Radiation environments and design hardness, and ability to perform tasks pertinent to Survivability discipline Electrical engineering simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, PSPICE, etc.) Test laboratory environments and associated test disciplines and test equipment (e.g., data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and/or signal generators) Active or Current Secret clearance required to start; US Citizenship with the willingness/ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
Radiation software tools (e.g., NOVICE, Srim/Trim, Novice/Geant4, Creme96, Creme-mc, MCNP, Shieldose, Spenvis, Omere, Ap8/Ap8, and Ap9/Ae9) Familiarity with Radiation test facilities [e.g., test labs in universities] Understanding of electronic, electrical, electromechanical and electrooptical (EEEE) components Work and collaborate with peers and senior specialists from within and outside the engineering group Understanding of anomaly resolution process Organized and able to effectively multi-task in a dynamic, fast paced environment Active or Current Top Secret clearance

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
