Select Staffing has a great opportunity for a Mobile Generate Technician within the Los Angeles area.

Morning/Day shift Monday to Friday - possible weekends/overtime Fulltime opportunity Position Overview We are seeking experienced Mobile Generator Technicians to join our field service team in the Van Nuys / Greater Los Angeles area. This is a hands-on role focused on the maintenance, repair, and servicing of diesel-powered mobile and standby generators. If you have strong experience troubleshooting and repairing generators in the field, we want to talk to you. This position is ideal for skilled diesel mechanics who enjoy working independently, solving complex power generation problems on-site, and providing critical power solutions to customers across a variety of industries. Key Responsibilities Perform mobile field service on diesel generators ranging from 20kW to 2000kW+ at customer locations. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on generators, engines, alternators, control systems, and automatic transfer switches. Conduct preventive maintenance, load bank testing, fuel system servicing, and full system commissioning. Respond to emergency service calls and participate in on-call rotation. Install, set up, and start up new and rental generator systems. Maintain accurate service records, parts inventory, and customer documentation. Required Experience & Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of direct experience as a Mobile Generator Technician or Diesel Generator Field Service Technician. Strong expertise in diesel engines (Cummins, Caterpillar, Perkins, Detroit, etc.) and power generation systems. Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex generator issues in the field (fuel systems, governors, voltage regulators, ATS, paralleling systems). Working knowledge of electrical systems, including AC/DC circuits, control panels, and transfer switches. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals. Valid driver's license with clean driving record (CDL a plus). Own set of hand tools; specialty tools and diagnostic equipment provided. EPA certification and manufacturer training (Cummins, Caterpillar, Kohler, Generac, etc.) strongly preferred.
