Job Description

Crane Service Technician Job Summary We are looking for a field-based Crane Service Technician to repair, maintain, and troubleshoot overhead cranes and lifting equipment at customer sites. You will work independently to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues and keep equipment running safely and reliably. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair overhead cranes, hoists, motors, brakes, and controls Diagnose electrical issues, including 3‑phase and 480V systems Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance Respond to emergency service calls to reduce downtime Read electrical schematics and technical manuals Assist with installing and commissioning new crane systems Follow OSHA safety standards at all times Communicate clearly with customers and complete service paperwork Operate lifts or forklifts when needed Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of electrical/mechanical field service experience Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (3‑phase power, motor controls) Experience working in industrial or manufacturing environments Ability to work independently in the field Valid driver's licence and ability to travel locally Preferred Qualifications Experience with overhead cranes or material handling equipment Technical or vocational training Experience using scissor lifts, boom lifts, or forklifts Knowledge of crane inspections and installations Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
