In this role, you will support the development, testing, and troubleshooting of power electronic systems and EMI filters to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will contribute to innovative projects that enhance electrical systems, improve product reliability, and advance our technological capabilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge power electronics components, utilize advanced testing equipment, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to drive continuous improvement. Duties Conduct comprehensive testing of power electronic modules and EMI filters using specialized test equipment and laboratory setups. Perform root cause analysis on electrical failures or performance issues identified during testing phases. Support project scheduling by coordinating testing timelines, equipment calibration, and resource allocation to meet project milestones. Maintain and repair electrical testing equipment, ensuring proper calibration and safety standards are upheld in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements. Collaborate with mechanical teams on integration tasks involving mechanical knowledge and electrical systems for product assembly or system upgrades. Use hand tools, surface mount technology (SMT), electrical wiring techniques, ohmmeters, and other electrical test instruments for assembly, debugging, and maintenance activities. Assist in the design review process by creating schematics and layouts for power Skills Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles related to power electronics and EMI filtering. Proficiency in PCB design, schematic capture, and layout using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation or SolidWorks. Knowledge of project scheduling methodologies to effectively plan testing phases and resource management. Skilled in root cause analysis techniques to identify failure modes within electrical systems or components Familiarity with NEC standards governing electrical safety and wiring practices in laboratory or manufacturing environments. Mechanical knowledge relevant to integrating electrical components within mechanical assemblies or enclosures. Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and system diagrams accurately.

Pay:

$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
