Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program.

Palo Alto, CA About the Team Tesla's Power Electronics group is looking for interns to designand manufacturepower electronics hardware for a variety of automotiveand energy storageproducts including Cybertruck,Powerwall, Megapack and many other Tesla automotive and energystorage products. The ideal candidate will haveoutstanding academic performance and a passion for hardware design, proficiency with basis EE tools, and have a solid understanding of the theory and application of electronic circuits, magnetics, and capacitors. What You'll Do Simulate and design power converters for use in automotive and energy storage applications Assist validation and debugging for power converters Collaborate with mechanical, PCB layout and firmware engineering team to successfully design, validate and manufacture power converters What You'll Bring Currently pursuing a Masters or Doctorate degreein Electrical Engineeringor a related field Experience with high voltage (>400 V) testing Lab experience with basic EE tools (Oscilloscope, Network analyzer, Signal Generators etc.) Solid understanding of the operation principle of switched power converters Familiar with schematics capture and power converter circuit simulation tools Familiar with analog and digital circuit design and validation Experience with Altium Designer is preferred Experience with communication protocols (CAN, I2C, SPI) is preferred Compensation and Benefits Benefits As a full-time Tesla Intern, you will be eligible for: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans.
