What to Expect Consider before submitting an application: This position is expected to start August or September 2026 and continue throughfallterm (endingapproximately December 2026or later, if available). We ask for a minimum of12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships.
Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program.

Palo Alto, CA About the Team Tesla's Power Electronics group is looking for interns to designand manufacturepower electronics hardware for a variety of automotiveand energy storageproducts including Cybertruck,Powerwall, Megapack and many other Tesla automotive and energystorage products. The ideal candidate will haveoutstanding academic performance and a passion for hardware design, proficiency with basis EE tools, and have a solid understanding of the theory and application of electronic circuits, magnetics, and capacitors. What You'll Do
Simulate and design power converters for use in automotive and energy storage applications
Assist validation and debugging for power converters
Collaborate with mechanical, PCB layout and firmware engineering team to successfully design, validate and manufacture power converters What You'll Bring
Currently pursuing a Masters or Doctorate degreein Electrical Engineeringor a related field
Experience with high voltage (>400 V) testing
Lab experience with basic EE tools (Oscilloscope, Network analyzer, Signal Generators etc.)
Solid understanding of the operation principle of switched power converters
Familiar with schematics capture and power converter circuit simulation tools
Familiar with analog and digital circuit design and validation
Experience with Altium Designer is preferred
Experience with communication protocols (CAN, I2C, SPI) is preferred Compensation and Benefits

Expected Compensation
$20.00 - $60.00/hour + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
