Duties You will be assigned to a technical project(s) in the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Division at Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific. You will lead and perform professional engineering and scientific work involving the determination, dissemination, and application of position, velocity, attitude and time (PVAT). You will research, specify, analyze, design, develop, integrate, acquire, test, and evaluate hardware and software for positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) sensors, systems, and associated simulation and test equipment. You will acquire, manage, and allocate resources to execute one or more complex projects. Anticipate and define customer needs and requirements for project execution. You will independently manage and complete complex tasks with multiple dependencies, lead others to accomplish complex, cross organizational goals, and mentor others regularly ensuring appropriate succession. • Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT) 1 , or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

Absent other means of qualifying under this standard, those applicants who achieved such registration by means other than written test (e.g., State grandfather or eminence provisions) are eligible only for positions that are within or closely related to the specialty field of their registration. For example, an applicant who attains registration through a State Board's eminence provision as a manufacturing engineer typically would be rated eligible only for manufacturing engineering positions. 2.
