Job Description

Aveox is an industry leader in Power Electronics for motor controllers, AC/DC converters and Specialized Electric Motors for critical applications. We design and produce low-weight/high-powered motor and controller solutions for a variety of Military, Aerospace and Industrial clients. We continually develop and apply innovative motion control technology to meet our clients ultra-critical, environmentally-challenging and high power-density requirements. We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer responsible for coordination of all programmatic, technical activities and for resolving conflicting issues on assigned projects. This position will ensure efficient communication and coordination on assigned projects between participating members. This individual will be highly motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the complete project life cycle to ensure planned results are achieved on time, within budget and within scope. Develop project objectives by reviewing proposals and plans and conferring with project management team. Assist in determining project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; assist in preparing cost estimates. Review product design for conformance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Plans, schedules, leads and coordinates assigned engineering work and monitors work for compliance to schedule Tracks the assigned activities and project status; reviewing bids from contractors; researching, tracking project material; disseminating information to the project team. Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions. Confirms product performance by analyzing the design and/or test data Ensure effective communication, collaboration, coordination and execution of all technical activities on assigned projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and/or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum 7-10 years experience in the aerospace industry. Previous Power Electronics experience (i.e. Power supplies, Motor drives, Wide Bandgap semiconductors) Analog electronics and control system design experience Previous experience with SPICE modeling and MATLAB/Simulink Prior Digital Signal processing experience Knowledge of applicable engineering theory, methods and practices Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment Proficient with Microsoft Suite.
