As an Electronics Engineer for the United Stes Space Force's elite Rapid Reaction Branch, you the forefront of developing, testing, and fielding cutting-edge space systems in response to urgent nional defense needs. You will serve as a technical advisor and leader, guiding teams through the full lifecycle of space communicions and electronic systems-from requirements definition and design, to integrion, testing, and operional deployment. In this dynamic and mission-critical role, you will collabore with senior military officials, program managers, and industry partners to deliver innovive solutions the speed of relevance. You will analyze complex technical challenges, oversee contractor performance, and ensure th projects meet cost, schedule, and performance goals. Your expertise will directly impact the success of rapid prototyping efforts and the delivery of new capabilities to the warfighter. Must have extensive knowledge of professional electronics engineering concepts, principles, and practices, and experience with the development, testing, and evaluion of electronic systems, especially in space or defense applicions. Familiarity with systems engineering, acquisition regulions, and program management is important, as is a demonstred ability to lead technical teams and serve as a subject mter expert. Experience with RF communicions, hardware/software integrion, modeling and simulion, and test planning and execution is highly valued.Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of professional electronics engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, merials, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services. 2. Knowledge of development testing and evaluion sufficient to apply experimental theories and new applicions to issues and provide technical advice and direction in support of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment. 3. Knowledge of integred air-vehicles, ground systems, and support equipment sufficient to plan, design, test, troubleshoot, evalue, and oversee the development and/or sustainment of electronic systems or devices. 4. Knowledge of systems engineering practices and procedures as they pertain to sustainment, modificion, logistics, and production management principles, concepts, policies, and systems; of standard acquisition regulions, practices, and procedures; and of other engineering disciplines. 5. Ability to devise and evalue criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelionships for design approaches, and to assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes. 6. Ability to communice effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, with technical accuracy and to use computers and a variety of software programs and dabases, gher and analyze a variety of program informion, make sound judgments concerning program progress, and effectively communice recommendions orally and in writing to higher organizional management and contractors. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Must be a U.S Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret / SCI security clearance. PCS / Incentive funding is authorized. Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified informion in accordance with regulions to reduce potential compromise. May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments. May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis. Eligible for situional telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed "Unscheduled Telework". Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximely 60 days per year. This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applicions, whichever comes first. Position requires a professional engineering degree the bachelor's level from an ABET accredited institution is required. Advanced degrees are preferred. This position is designed as a Testing Designed Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. Employee must within 30-days of assuming this position and by 31 October annually thereafter, file an OGE-450, "Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.
