Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Manufacturing Engineer specializing in Electronics to join our cutting-edge manufacturing team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes for electronic products. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhance production efficiency, and ensure the highest quality standards are met. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment, robotics, and CAD/CAM software in a fast-paced, collaborative environment dedicated to technological excellence. Manufacturing Engineer with knowledge of electronic circuits and circuit board assemblies. Candidate will work in Manufacturing Engineering team responsible to understand and address customer design questions regarding manufacturability of PCBAs, PCB layout related issues as they pertain to assembly and fabrication and addressing questions about alternate components. Candidate will be responsible to perform DFM (Design for Manufacturability) analysis and complete a report for each PCBA quoted to customers. Interface with SMT group regarding Pick and Place machine programming related questions and assembly. Interface with Through Hole production team regarding assembly of through hole components and Selective Solder questions. Good written and verbal communications skills is a requirement for this position. Responsibilities Design and optimize tooling, fixtures, and fabrication methods including plastics injection molding and welding techniques to enhance production efficiency. Conduct root cause analysis on production issues, implementing corrective actions aligned with Lean manufacturing principles. Create detailed schematics and technical documentation for industrial equipment, process flows. Collaborate with process engineering teams to develop and maintain manufacturing protocols that comply with
ISO 9001
standards. Drive continuous improvement efforts through data analysis, process engineering best practices, and factory floor feedback. Facilitate cross-functional teamwork to implement new product introductions (NPI) efficiently while maintaining safety and quality standards. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field; advanced certifications in manufacturing or process engineering are a plus. Proven experience working within a manufacturing facility focused on electronics or similar high-tech industries. Strong knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo; proficiency in AutoCAD is highly desirable. Ability to perform root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies to optimize production workflows. Excellent understanding of schematics, process flow diagrams, circuit schematics. Ability to interpret Gerber data. Familiar with SMT and Through Hole electronic components. Familiar with electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, DVM. Ability to troubleshoot circuits with circuit diagram in order to determine root cause of failures. Knowledge of solder types and process parameters in order to assemble PCBAs through manufacturing lines. Familiarity with all office productivity software and ability to program and setup cloud based no-code application platform. Experience with printed circuit board assembly manufacturing. Familiar with IPC-610, J-STD-001, soldering processes, coatings, manufacturing test, high density designs, board stack up and pad designs, design rules and tuning of manufacturing processes. Excellent communication skills. Both written and verbal. Familiar with mechanical CAD systems to specify and build fixtures using 3D printers. Design and specify fixtures for various assemblies to facilitate assembly process. Job Responsibilities Process Manufacturing Orders, enter new component details in ERP system, update and manage Customer Bill-Of-Materials in ERP system, create assembly variance for Production teams. Choose process parameters based on knowledge of solder type and customer requirements for PCBA. Perform DFM analysis on all PCBA in the quoting process and complete DFM report. Interface with customers regarding manufacturability issues. Find alternate components with equivalent form fit and function and get approval from customers. Communicate and interface with customers to resolve technical details of PCB Assemblies. Knowledge of standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVM, spectrum analyzers. Write procedures to document manufacturing steps and document Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures for ISO requirements. Troubleshoot test failures and recommend corrective action. Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting studies, applying knowledge of product, fabrication, assembly, tooling. Interface with equipment and tooling vendors. Solicit observations from production operators. Coordinate workflow with production teams and other support functions. Program SMT machines and AOI machine as needed. Setup ERP system in order to run MRP for Manufacturing Orders and determine component demand. Analyze and process data from production process and prepare reports and make appropriate recommendations for process changes and improve efficiency. Analyze design of manufacturing line. Validate stencils, manufacturing fixtures, evaluate and specify equipment: solder paste printing and jetting, pick and place machines, reflow ovens, inspection equipment such

processes and procedures.
