$104,500 - $184,115/year POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineering Manager IV to support advanced avionics and telemetry subsystem development within a highly collaborative aerospace and defense environment. This role is responsible for leading cross-functional engineering teams supporting the technical design, production, delivery, certification, and engineering closeout activities for sophisticated avionics and telemetry systems supporting mission-critical space and missile defense programs. The ideal candidate has strong experience leading aerospace electronics programs, supporting high-reliability electronics through the full product lifecycle, and collaborating across multidisciplinary engineering environments. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Lead and coordinate technical design, production, delivery, and engineering closeout activities for avionics telemetry subsystems Serve as Avionics Telemetry Subsystem Manager supporting mission-critical aerospace and defense systems Lead cross-functional engineering teams through development and certification activities for telemetry subsystems Manage engineering risks and develop mitigation plans supporting productivity, quality, cost, schedule, and mission success objectives Support engineering review activities including Change Review Boards, Engineering Review Boards, Quality Review Boards, Material Review Boards, and Failure Review Boards Coordinate closely with suppliers, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams Oversee staffing plans, direct report development, and performance management activities Support technical evaluation of design activities and requirements verification efforts Participate across multiple phases of aerospace hardware development lifecycle activities Collaborate effectively with peers, management, government customers, and engineering stakeholders Support technical presentations, documentation, and written communication efforts Contribute to highly dynamic and collaborative engineering environments supporting advanced space and missile defense systems MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline Experience supporting high-reliability electronics throughout the product lifecycle Experience serving as a technical lead or responsible engineer Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance U.S. Citizenship required Additional Qualifications Prior engineering management or team leadership experience preferred Experience supporting Space and/or Missile Defense programs Experience with electronic schematic creation and interpretation Familiarity with electronics modeling and simulation tools such as SPICE, PSPICE, Saber, or similar platforms Experience utilizing schematic capture tools such as Zuken or equivalent software Experience performing electronics analyses including Worst Case Analysis, Electrical Parts Stress Analysis, and Failure Modes and Effects Critical Analysis (FMECA) Strong communication and presentation skills supporting technical discussions with customers, management, subcontractors, and engineering teams Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills within fast-paced engineering environments Ability to adapt quickly and independently solve complex engineering problems Experience supporting collaborative multidisciplinary engineering teams within aerospace and defense environments The Global Edge Consultants, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
