POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an Electronics Engineer III•Battery Design to join a world-class Integrated Product Development environment supporting the Test Missile Kit (TMK) avionics subsystem. In this role, you will develop high-reliability battery designs for missile avionics, perform critical electrical analyses, and work on a cross-functional team to integrate and certify advanced avionics systems. The ideal candidate brings hands?on experience with battery systems, power electronics, and electronics analysis, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Develop battery designs for the Test Missile Kit (TMK) avionics subsystem, including requirements interpretation, design trade studies, and implementation. Perform and/or review electrical Worst Case Analysis (WCA) and Electrical Parts Stress Analysis (EPSA) for battery and power circuitry. Work on a cross-functional avionics development and integration team, collaborating with systems, hardware, software, and test engineers to deliver world-class avionics systems. Resolve test anomalies and perform troubleshooting, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions for battery and power electronics issues. Generate, review, and present Product Certification artifacts and support system-level testing, including environmental and integration tests.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. 3+ years of professional experience in electronics engineering. Experience or coursework in battery systems design and integration. U.S. Citizenship with ability and desire to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Electrical power supply design or power electronics experience. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors, and customers. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment and to build consensus among peers and effective relationships with team members. Experience with missile flight electronic components and/or power distribution subsystems. Experience across a combination of design, test, operations, and systems engineering disciplines. Experience with schematic capture using Zuken or similar tools. Experience with PSPICE, Saber, or other electronics simulation tools.
