Job Description

Spectrum Analyst (EE) Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547 Full-time Full-time Electronics and Spectrum Analyst supports the EBJ Futures program as the primary technical expert on airborne electronic systems characterization, electromagnetic spectrum analysis, and electronic system integration. In this role, the individual evaluates the electromagnetic operating environment produced by the threshold platform, characterizes the frequency spectrum relevant to weapon guidance, fuzing, and safe/arm electronics at all approved carriage stations, and assesses compatibility between weapon electronics and the platform's installed airborne electronic systems suite. The specialist provides authoritative technical guidance on electronic interface compliance, system-level spectrum environment requirements, and the electromagnetic compatibility standards that govern weapon avionics design and ordnance safety certification. A minimum of 15 years of experience in airborne electronic systems engineering, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, and an active TS/SCI clearance are required. A like field Masters is preferred showing continued and up-to-date educational standards in electrical engineering. During proposal evaluation and funded study oversight, the specialist reviews and scores contractor technical approaches to electronic system architecture, spectrum characterization methodology, and system compatibility demonstration planning. The individual assesses the technical credibility of contractor electronic integration approaches against government-established system requirements, evaluates whether proposed designs adequately address the electromagnetic environment at the threshold platform interface, and produces independent government technical evaluation reports that directly support program office selection and funding decisions. The specialist participates in monthly technical interchange meetings with funded study performers, provides government technical direction on electronic system verification approaches, and supports the Technical Director in midpoint go/no-go assessments of funded feasibility studies. This position operates under the direction of the Technical Director and coordinates directly with the platform program office on interface characterization and electronic system compatibility matters.
