Controls Engineer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. Our expertise in Inverters, Motors, Battery Management Systems, and E-Axles allows us to provide both standalone components and integrated systems for electric vehicle powertrains. Responsibilities Support safe launch of Intelligent Power Module (IPM) products and processes. Assist in the development of technology, resource, and production requirements. Contribute to new IPM business opportunities. Address production process or equipment problems and develop solutions. Perform other duties as assigned to support corporate objectives. Essential Skills Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. 3+ years of experience in controls engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive. Proficient in vision systems such as Cognex and Keyence. Willingness to travel to Japan for equipment qualifications. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in electronics manufacturing environment with emphasis on inspection processes. Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and assembly, including failure mode identification and corrective actions. Experience with automated inspection processes, developing inspection judgment criteria, and improving process repeatability. Capability to interface with inspection equipment and implement inspection criteria. Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, and Control Plans. Experience in electronics manufacturing and IPC regulations. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects. Excellent communication skills for presenting information to various audiences. Ability to lead and mentor engineers or team members. Work Environment This role is based at our expanding the Indianapolis facility, where we are experiencing significant growth. As a Tier 1 automotive supplier, we work closely with major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). The position involves working on the manufacturing floor, in an office environment, and participating in meetings. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Greenfield, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $60.10/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
