Description:
Summary:
The Field Commissioning Engineer conducts field services alongside Beier's field services team and our service partners in pre-commissioning, commissioning, repair, and maintenance work.
Essential Job Functions:
Conducts field services with team and service partners in pre-commissioning, commissioning, repair, and maintenance work. Works with engineering to finalize commissioning plans, as well as coordinate commissioning activities, including site acceptance tests and other tests for successful delivery. Continuously develops knowledge of company products and services. Communicates with management, sales team, and customers to support business development and customer satisfaction. Assists in training customer personnel to have the competency to operate products correctly. Works with Beier Management and Engineering Teams to obtain proper training on the various control product platforms that Beier uses currently or will use in the future. Works on specific projects for the engineering team in house as need arises including but not limited to drafting, software development, factory acceptance testing, etc. Responsible for a positive Customer Experience. Fill out daily reports to send to customer and Beier management
Competencies:
Possess technical expertise in testing, troubleshooting, development and operations of systems and company products. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and contract/design specifications. Knowledge of basic math and computer skills to measure, calibrate and calculate specifications, access company information, and communicate with team members and customers. Ability to utilize various tools and machinery to test, install, remove, and repair equipment. Knowledge and understanding of quality and safety measures in every aspect of the job. Must be able to work well under pressure. Must be able to work as a team or independently on projects as required. Must possess good analytical, IT, and electronic skills. Must be able to work flexible hours and travel at short notice from time to time. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to travel regionally with occasional extended stay as required. Ability to work weekends or holidays when necessary.
Requirements:
Educational & Experience Requirements:
Possession of a valid driver's license and a good driving record. Possession of a TWIC card (or the ability to obtain one).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time. Ability to climb stairs and ladders as necessary for job duties. Must be capable of lifting up to 35lbs.
