Job Description:
Parsons is seeking an Senior Engineer to support our cutting-edge Drone Armor counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) program. This role provides professional engineering with emphasis on electronic phenomena and advanced electronics engineering to design, analyze, and support systems involving electromagnetic wave energy and electrical information for communication, computation, sensing, control, measurement, and navigation within the Drone Armor ecosystem. What You'll Be Doing Electronic Systems Engineering Provide professional engineering that applies knowledge of: Physical and engineering sciences and mathematics Electronic phenomena Principles, techniques, and practices of electronics engineering Engineer and analyze electronic circuits, circuit elements, equipment, and systems supporting Drone Armor C-UAS capabilities Support design and evaluation of systems concerned with electromagnetic or acoustical wave energy and electrical information Communications, Sensing & Control Applications Apply electronics engineering expertise to systems used for: Communication and data links Computation and processing Sensing and detection Control, measurement, and navigation Contribute to the design and optimization of subsystems that enable effective detection, tracking, and mitigation of unmanned aerial systems Collaborate with RF, software, systems, and test engineers to ensure integrated system performance in complex operational environments Analysis, Modeling, Test & Integration Perform analytical assessments and trade studies on electronic system design, performance, and reliability Support modeling and simulation of electronic circuits and systems, including electromagnetic or acoustical wave interactions Develop and execute test plans for electronic and electro-mechanical components and subsystems Support integration of electronics into larger system-of-systems architectures within the Drone Armor program Document analysis methods, test results, and engineering recommendations in clear technical reports and briefings Technical Leadership & Collaboration Serve as a senior technical resource for electronics engineering topics across the Drone Armor program Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers Participate in technical reviews, design discussions, and risk assessments Communicate complex technical concepts and findings to program management, customers, and multidisciplinary stakeholders What Required Skills You'll Bring Education Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline is required with 6 years of experience OR 10 years of relevant experience may be substituted for education Experience Significant experience providing professional engineering with primary application of: Physical and engineering sciences and mathematics Electronic phenomena Principles, techniques, and practices of electronics engineering Experience working with electronic circuits, circuit elements, equipment, and systems related to electromagnetic or acoustical wave energy or electrical information Experience supporting systems used for communication, computation, sensing, control, measurement, or navigation Experience contributing to the design, analysis, testing, and integration of electronics in complex systems Technical Competencies Strong foundation in electronics engineering and applied electromagnetics Experience with analysis and design tools for electronic circuits and systems (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB, or similar) Understanding of system-level integration of electronic subsystems in complex platforms Ability to develop clear technical documentation, test reports, and engineering presentations Security & Citizenship Must be a US Citizen SECRET security clearance What Desired Skills You'll Bring Advanced Education & Certifications Advanced degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline Professional certifications or specialized training in RF, communications, or sensor systems Specialized Experience Experience supporting DoD, C-UAS, EW, radar, communications, or related defense systems Experience with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), EMI analysis, or RF system performance assessment Additional Technical Skills Familiarity with modeling and simulation tools for electromagnetic or acoustical wave propagation Experience with system-of-systems integration and test in operational or field environments

Salary Range:
