TEMPEST Engineer

TEMPEST Engineer Tensley Consulting is seeking a skilled TEMPEST Engineer to support mission-critical security efforts by performing TEMPEST testing and providing engineering recommendations to safeguard national systems. This role involves working onsite with the customer, embedded within their team to ensure mission success and compliance with National TEMPEST standards.

Core Responsibilities:

Ensure TEMPEST testing requirements are defined and approved by the Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA)Evaluate Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) packages to assess impact on TEMPEST integrityRecommend and coordinate additional TEMPEST testing for recertification when requiredAttend and contribute to technical meetings with:

Crypto device usersCustomersCSCMsVendor partnersConduct TEMPEST lab testing of certified cryptographic devices in accordance with National TEMPEST standardsPerform TEMPEST field testing to identify vulnerabilities in secure systemsProvide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for TEMPEST-related vulnerabilities in cryptographic devicesEducation/ExperienceCertified TEMPEST Professional Level II (CTP-II) (Required)

Salary:

$165,000-$185,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position, but is not guaranteed. Salary is based on experience, location and contractual requirements which could fall outside of the range listed.
