You are being redirected Once you are on the page, please click the refer button Job Overview Qualifications Benefits Job Overview The Power Electronics Design and Release Engineer (DRE) is responsible for the design, development, validation, and release of Power Electronics Components (PECs) — including converters, inverters, and AC/DC charging systems — for electrified vehicle applications. The role supports component execution from concept through production, ensuring technical performance, quality, cost, and timing objectives are met This highly motivated, self‑starting DRE will be responsible for the following activities: Collaborate with technical subject matter experts to develop cost‑effective, reliable Product Engineering Components (PECs) using advanced technologies, simulation tools, and test and evaluation equipment. Define and develop Design Verification Plans and Reports (DVP&R) and execute all required development and verification testing to ensure functional objectives are met and program goals are achieved. Support the creation of component specifications derived from vehicle, system, and software requirements, including durability, warranty, safety, and performance requirements at the component level. Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing organizations to ensure designs meet Stellantis' requirements, perform the intended function, and are robust and manufacturable without defects. Participate in supplier technical assessments in collaboration with subject matter experts. Take part in post‑test inspection reviews, perform detailed failure analysis, and recommend changes to product specifications as needed. Track and manage the progress of component development, verification, and production activities, both internally and externally. Support issue identification, resolution, and tracking at technical, program, production, and financial levels. Assist in reporting and communicating component development progress and status at various team and program review meetings.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related degree field Minimum 5 years of engineering experience with high‑voltage and/or power electronics components, preferably in an automotive environment Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, protocols, and applicable industry standards Hands‑on experience in applications engineering and product design/development. Proven experience developing and executing DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation plans. Working proficiency with power electronics analysis and simulation tools Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross‑functional team environment Professional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with customers, suppliers, and all levels of the organization Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Highly detail‑oriented, task‑focused, and committed to accuracy and quality
