Job Description

The Electrified Powertrain Controls Engineer will work within the Centre of Excellence (CoE) within the Product Release Centre (PRC) Electrified Propulsion Controls and contribute to the development of electrified powertrain systems for current and next-generation Stellantis vehicles.

The ideal candidate is a strong team player able to work in a fast-paced environment, with foundational experience in control strategies applied to powertrain subsystems (electric motors, battery, thermal, charging, etc.). The candidate will contribute to the development of hybrid operating strategies in areas such as torque management, energy management, thermal management, monitoring and diagnostics.

The most important activities assigned to the Electrified Powertrain Controls Engineer are:

Reading high-level requirements related to vehicle-level behaviorSupporting control algorithm design to meet functional objectivesImplementing control algorithms in Matlab-Simulink, C, etc.

Supporting calibration dataset developmentPerforming MIL/SIL pre-verification activitiesSupporting code generation and proto build activitiesSupporting HIL/vehicle validation using
ETAS INCA
toolsSupporting issue analysis and resolutionParticipating in technical meetings and data analysisSupporting documentation and process developmentSupporting Calibration & Application activities
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors' degree in relevant engineering fieldA minimum of 1 year of experienceBasic knowledge of vehicle and powertrain functionsExposure to modeling, simulation, or validationStrong problem-solving mindsetGood interpersonal and teamwork skillsBasic understanding of electrified systems and architecturesFundamentals of control systems and modelingMatlab / Simulink knowledgeBasic embedded C/C++ understandingExposure to CAN tools and vehicle communicationBasic understanding of verification activities (MIL/SIL/HIL)Team-oriented mindsetStrong willingness to learnGood communication skillsAbility to work in a global and fast-paced environment
