JR96092 Principal Digital Design Engineer / Chip Lead Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all. Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever. Interface Pathfinding is where Micron designs what's next in high‑speed connectivity. We build and validate new PHY concepts years ahead of products, working across digital, analog, and physical design to turn architecture into working silicon. We're a small, senior team that values ownership, speed, and learning from real hardware! This role is the Digital Design Engineer and Chip Lead for advanced PHY prototypes. You will own the digital architecture and integration of a full chip, guiding it from early definition through tape‑out. - Define chip‑level digital architecture and integrate hard macros with soft IP
- Own RTL design for control logic, registers, clocking control, and top‑level integration
- 10+ years of digital or ASIC design experience with prior chip or design lead ownership
- Expert proficiency in SystemVerilog RTL and digital design best practices
- Experience with synthesis and timing using industry tools such as DC, Genus, PrimeTime, or Tempus
- Proven ability to lead integration across teams and own outcomes end to end
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with high‑speed PHY or SerDes‑adjacent architectures
- Familiarity with DFT planning, scan insertion, or boundary scan for I/O‑heavy designs
- Experience integrating mixed‑signal hard IP and third‑party soft IP
- Background in small, fast‑moving teams with broad technical ownership Job Profile(s):
