Interface Pathfinding is where Micron designs what's next in high‑speed connectivity. We build and validate new PHY concepts years ahead of products, working across digital, analog, and physical design to turn architecture into working silicon. We're a small, senior team that values ownership, speed, and learning from real hardware! This role is the Digital Design Engineer and Chip Lead for advanced PHY prototypes. You will own the digital architecture and integration of a full chip, guiding it from early definition through tape‑out. Your leadership will anchor a cross‑discipline team and directly shape how new interface ideas are proven and scaled.
Responsibilities:
  • Define chip‑level digital architecture and integrate hard macros with soft IP
  • Own RTL design for control logic, registers, clocking control, and top‑level integration
  • 10+ years of digital or ASIC design experience with prior chip or design lead ownership
  • Expert proficiency in SystemVerilog RTL and digital design best practices
  • Experience with synthesis and timing using industry tools such as DC, Genus, PrimeTime, or Tempus
  • Proven ability to lead integration across teams and own outcomes end to end
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with high‑speed PHY or SerDes‑adjacent architectures
  • Familiarity with DFT planning, scan insertion, or boundary scan for I/O‑heavy designs
  • Experience integrating mixed‑signal hard IP and third‑party soft IP
  • Background in small, fast‑moving teams with broad technical ownership Job Profile(s):

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is: $206,000.00 - $410,000.00 a year Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
