Sr Project Engineer

$52-$63 per hour Minneapolis, MN Contract

• Job Description:

• + In this role, you will have a direct impact on the development of our factory test equipment and contribute to the success of our Ring Laser Gyro and Inertial Measurement products. Your attention to detail and problem-solving abilities will be crucial in ensuring the successful completion of new equipment builds.

• Key Responsibilities:

• + Oversee project building and validation of Factory Test Equipment.

+ Develop and manage project schedules. + Establish new build processes for custom factory equipment. + Apply technical troubleshooting skills and knowledge to Factory Test Equipment (FTE). + Integration of test solution designs into working systems for the Factory. + Interface with vendors and suppliers for BOM development and acquisition of parts for equipment builds. + Generate engineering documents for the FTE - schematics, BOMs, assembly drawings, specifications, etc.

• Basic Qualifications (Required Skills):
• + 6+ years of experience in hardware design and development. + Experience with equipment testing and validation. + Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. + Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

• Preferred Skills:

• + Troubleshooting capability to isolate failure modes and implement solutions.

+ Excellent computer literacy. + Ability to focus on important information and identify key details. + Capability of following guidelines and ensuring efficiency on given project tasks. + Application of basic engineering techniques to optimize design of products, parts, systems or processes. + Clear and concise communication and presentation skills. + Ability to quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts. + Willingness to consistently take the initiative to get things done and do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.

• Education:

• + Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
