Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States Talascend is currently seeking a Sr Project Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Overview In this role, you will have a direct impact on the development of factory test equipment and contribute to the success of products related to laser gyros and inertial measurement systems. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be essential in ensuring the successful completion of new equipment builds. Responsibilities Oversee project building and validation of factory test equipment
Develop and manage project schedules
Establish new build processes for custom factory equipment
Apply troubleshooting skills and knowledge to factory test equipment
Integrate test solution designs into working systems for the factory
Interface with vendors and suppliers for BOM development and parts acquisition
Generate engineering documents such as schematics, BOMs, assembly drawings, and specifications Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
6+ years of experience in hardware design and development
Experience with equipment testing and validation
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and collaboration abilities Preferred Qualifications Troubleshooting capability to isolate failure modes and implement solutions
Excellent computer literacy
Ability to focus on important information and identify key details
Capability of following guidelines and ensuring efficiency on project tasks
Application of basic engineering techniques to optimize product, parts, systems, or process design
Clear and concise communication and presentation skills
Ability to quickly analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts
