Job Description
Primera Technology, Inc. is a highly respected designer and manufacturer of specialized digital color printing equipment. We are seeking an Electrical / Electronic Engineer to lead the design, development, and testing of complex electronic systems for Primera's specialty printing products. This is a hands-on role working closely with a small, cross-functional team of electrical, mechanical, and software engineers. All work is done in person at our location in Plymouth. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop analog and digital electronic circuits
- Create schematics and PCB layouts
- Design and implement FPGA-based solutions
- State machines for motor control, inkjet firing, processors, etc.
- Memory systems, DMA, communication interfaces, watchdog logic, timers, etc.
- Perform EMC testing and support compliance efforts
- Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for the electrical design
- Support manufacturing and production as needed
- Troubleshoot complex electrical issues at the component level Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical systems. Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Good understanding of mechanics, firmware, and software
- Ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines
