Job Description

Integrated Security Solutions, Inc is seeking an experienced Electronic Security Systems Engineer to join our team of professionals. The Electronic Security Systems Engineer will represent the company with electronic security system engineering products and solutions. They research, design, and provide cost estimation for new installation and upgrades to security infrastructure, including access control, video surveillance (CCTV), and intrusion detection systems. They bridge physical security with IT network systems, ensuring robust protection of assets, data, and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and/or integration of a DoD IA architecture, system, or system component for use within a computing/network environment. Analyze customer information, required formats, cost constraints and security restriction needs to determine the best solution for their applications. Make recommendations on using existing systems and equipment where applicable and designing new integrated security systems when required. Develop documentation packages and partner with operations to plan and support system installation. Direct, review and approve product design and changes. Provide cost estimates for customer provided specifications and or drawings for project proposals. Provide technical expertise in the development of test procedures to monitor functioning of equipment while ensuring the system operates in conformance with specifications. Consult with the Engineering Manager and the Project Management Team on project status, proposals and technical issues such as software design and maintenance. Prepare reports and correspondence concerning project specifications, activities and status updates. Confer with customer representatives, vendors, company management and staff to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication. Perform other related duties as assigned. This position requires occasional travel (approximately 30%).
Qualifications:
A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the electronic security systems field. A bachelor's or higher degree in engineering from an accredited university or college. A U.S. Professional Engineers certification or be a Certified Protection Professional (CPP)
Experience:
Experienced with AutoCAD, reading and interpreting drawings, and extensive experience in assembly and organization of drawing packages. Must be able to prepare engineering drawings. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Project, Visio, and Teams. Federal Contracting experience preferred.
Skills:
Identifies complex problems and reviews related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Ability to identify measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system. Ability to produce results inside tight deadlines restraints. Uses relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards. Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Security clearance:
Secret Clearance preferred or the ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance.
Work Environment:
This role operates in a professional office environment, with occasional attendance of conferences, recruitment events, or work functions.
