Job Description

Location:
Durham, NC Schedule:
Shift/Schedule:
2nd Shift M- F 4pm - 1230 am
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoots, debugs, and determines root cause at multiple system levels for customer devices and analyzes circuits and topologies to identify marginal failure root causes.
  • Repairs for failing devices.
  • Troubleshoot and repair failures; diagnose the root cause and recommend corrective action.
  • Monitor ORT (on-going reliability tests) /RDT (reliability demonstration tests) and report issues.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work directly with design and manufacturing teams to investigate hardware issues down to the component level.
  • Document procedure, follow SOPs.
  • Assists with the fabrication and development of new equipment, fixtures, and test programs.
Internal Collaboration:
Collaborate with multiple internal engineering disciplines (HW, SW, Diags, Quality, Product, Mechanical, Materials, Reliability) to resolve complex hardware issues.
  • Assist Test Engineers with test station setup and other processes including modeling, pre-pilot, and pilot runs.
  • Proactively develops and maintains technical knowledge in specialized area(s), remaining up to date on current trends and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to read test logs.
  • Some experience with computer hardware like CPUs, NIC, Memory, etc.
  • Must be able to adapt to stressful situations and complete projects under tight deadlines.
Electronic Assembly:
Schematics, PCB point to point wiring;
Cables:
connector/ wire soldering; oscilloscope, cable & harness testing, trouble shooting, component testing, logic analyzer;
Inspection:
PCB loaded, components, cable/harness, microscope.
