POSITION OVERVIEW
Karcher Group Incorporated (located in Chantilly, VA) is looking for a Audio Visual Design Engineer to join its growing team.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Must have previous experience with service and installation of audio, video, and audiovisual presentation systems. This position requires a high degree of computer literacy and customer service, as well as Vizio software familiarity. This position also requires a minimum of 5 years experience in working with audio visual solutions, a combination of installation, programming and design. This position requires the ability to work independently, without supervision, and the ability to make sound decisions which lead to customer satisfaction. You will perform audio, video, and control engineering functions as required to support the sale, design, installation, and delivery of audio video integrated systems. Excellent communication and customer relation skills are required to provide technical support to customers, successfully complete the projects, and provide customer satisfaction. Ability to create bill of materials, concept drawings, as-builts, and technical proposal package for pre sales and post sales efforts. Travel to off site locations as part of system design opportunities and project oversight is required; moderate overnight travel required (up to 25%) . Maintain a professional work appearance and excellent customer interaction. Commissioning systems and training clients. Job Requirements
EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Computer proficiency Excellent verbal and written communications skills Professional attitude and demeanor Reliable and dependable, able to report to work on time Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license Must pass a drug screen Commitment to work within specified deadlines
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Strong knowledge of audio visual systems 5+ years applicable work experience in the audio & video industry Ability to develop architectural plans and schematic line drawings Knowledge and familiarity of Cisco video conferencing equipment, Crestron, Biamp, Extron, etc. IP addressing knowledge or applicable IT background Experience in the installation and troubleshooting of audio, video and control systems Understanding of multi classification networks Infocomm CTS or CTS-D certification is a plus
