Job Description

Keep the brew on—be the expert customers trust When a café's morning rush depends on a brewer that won't start, you're the calm in the storm. As a Field Maintenance Technologist with Farmer Brothers' Revive™ Service & Restoration, you'll safeguard beverage programs through precision installation, diligent maintenance, and fast, accurate repairs—paired with thoughtful customer communication.
What to expect Work hours:
Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. On-call participation required, including weekends
Travel:
Drive within an approximately 100-mile radius; occasional regional trips Your impact Install and de-install commercial coffee and tea brewing/dispensing systems with meticulous setup and verification. Own preventive maintenance, urgent break/fix, field surveys, and installation projects. Triage issues across electrical, mechanical, HVAC/R, pneumatics, and boiler systems; read schematics and wire equipment safely. Maintain and replenish service vehicle inventory in line with company guidelines.
Document every call thoroughly:
work performed, time, parts; finalize invoices and collect customer signatures. Coordinate with teams to plan, schedule, and execute multi-site rollouts. Share customer insights to improve programs and uphold service level agreements. Prioritize competing tasks and deliver on expectations with clear, timely communication. Background that sets you up to win High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 3 years of mechanical/technical experience Foodservice experience preferred Preferred exposure to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and test meters Valid driver's license; clean record Ability to travel within a 100+ mile radius Diagnose and resolve equipment issues quickly and accurately Lift up to 60 lbs on a frequent basis Traits and skills Customer-first communicator (oral and written) who builds trust and rapport Independent, decisive, and aligned with business goals; strong judgment Active listener who understands impact on others and collaborates effectively Proactive in identifying problems and new opportunities to grow the business Hands-on expertise Customer service and field service readiness with a safety-first approach (Workplace Safety & EHS Management) Creating and executing preventive maintenance plans HVAC/R systems: troubleshooting, repair, service, and installation Mechanical troubleshooting; mechanical systems and component repair Knowledge of Food & Beverage manufacturing environments and FSQA Electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repair; equipment installation & wiring Electrical schematic reading; machine safety inspections Pneumatics troubleshooting and boiler troubleshooting General service, maintenance, repair, and equipment diagnostics If you're energized by solving complex technical problems and keeping customers brewing without interruption, Revive™ is where you can make an immediate difference.
