To be acceptable, the curriculum must: (a) be in a school of engineering with least one curriculum accredited by the Accredition Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum or (b) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (1)stics, dynamics; (2)strength of merials (stress-strain relionships); (3)fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (4)thermodynamics; (5)electrical fields and circuits; (6)nure and properties of merials (reling particle and aggrege structure to properties); and (7)any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, he transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.
