Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Field Service Engineer to support semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites in Sherman, Texas. This position requires daily onsite support at customer vendor rooms and cleanroom environments during equipment startup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and recovery operations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical troubleshooting experience, particularly with CMP (Chemical Mechanical Polishing) equipment used in wafer processing. Position Summary The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for supporting semiconductor manufacturing equipment directly at customer facilities. This includes equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, startup support, and customer communication. The role involves working closely with customers in cleanroom environments and responding quickly to equipment-related issues to minimize downtime. Essential Responsibilities Perform maintenance and preventive maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment Troubleshoot and recover equipment during system failures and downtime Support installation, setup, startup, and qualification of new equipment Enter cleanroom environments and perform onsite technical work Provide technical support and communicate closely with customers Prepare service reports and document troubleshooting activities Coordinate with internal engineering and technical support teams as needed Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and professionalism Equipment Supported CMP (Chemical Mechanical Polishing) equipment Wafer grinding machines Automated packaging systems Preferred Experience & Skills Experience as a Field Service Engineer or Equipment Engineer Hands-on experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills Experience supporting CMP equipment is highly preferred Experience working in cleanroom environments Ability to read technical drawings and mechanical diagrams Strong communication and customer service skills Basic English communication skills required
