Job Description

Junior AV Design Engineer Overview A leading multidisciplinary consulting firm specializing in audiovisual, acoustics, and technology systems design is seeking a Junior AV Design Engineer . This role is ideal for an early-career professional looking to develop technical expertise in AV system design while contributing to complex, high-profile projects across corporate, institutional, and cultural sectors. Key Responsibilities Support the design and documentation of audiovisual systems, including conferencing, presentation, and integrated AV solutions Assist in developing drawing packages (plans, schematics, details) using AutoCAD/Revit Participate in system layout, equipment selection, and signal flow development under senior engineer guidance Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders including architects, clients, and contractors Contribute to preparation of specifications, reports, and design narratives Assist with construction administration tasks, including submittal reviews and site visits Stay current with AV technologies, standards, and industry best practices Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field 0-3 years of experience in AV design, engineering, or systems integration (internships acceptable) Familiarity with AV systems (audio, video, control, conferencing) and signal flow concepts Proficiency in AutoCAD required; Revit experience preferred Understanding of construction documentation and design processes is a plus Strong communication and organizational skills CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or progress toward certification is a plus Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment Basic understanding of low-voltage systems and structured cabling Effective time management and ability to support multiple projects Why Join Opportunity to work on complex, design-driven projects across multiple industries Exposure to multidisciplinary consulting environments Mentorship and structured career development opportunities Collaborative, team-oriented culture Competitive compensation and benefits Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles Project manager/Estimator
