About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Support Specialist to provide on-site support, maintenance, and training for sophisticated analytical instrumentation. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in troubleshooting, repair, and customer service to ensure optimal instrument performance and customer satisfaction. Your proficiency in AC and DC electronics, coupled with strong mechanical aptitude, will be essential for success. Responsibilities Deliver expert-level maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services on analytical and metallographic instrumentation, ensuring minimal downtime for customers. Install new instruments and implement upgrades, ensuring seamless integration with customer workflows. Provide comprehensive training to customers on instrument operation, software, and maintenance best practices, empowering them to maximize instrument utilization. Uphold quality standards by performing all work in accordance with established protocols and guidelines. Cultivate strong customer relationships through proactive communication and responsive support, fostering long-term partnerships. Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, utilizing your expertise in AC and DC electronics and mechanical systems. Document all service activities accurately and thoroughly, maintaining a comprehensive record of work performed. Qualifications Required Skills Technical degree or trade school certification, or equivalent experience in a related field. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and experience with AC and DC electronics. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to travel extensively, including overnight stays. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Preferred Skills Prior military experience with technical training. Experience with analytical or metallographic instrumentation. Familiarity with ISO accreditation standards.
