- Full-time We are seeking a skilled and motivated Regional Mobile Technician to join our field‑service team.
This is a field‑based role responsible for providing on‑site diagnostics, maintenance, and repair services for refuse bodies, grapple loaders, hydraulic systems, and vocational truck equipment across an assigned territory. The ideal candidate is self‑driven, mechanically strong, highly resourceful, and comfortable working independently with customers. Key Responsibilities Travel throughout the assigned region to provide on‑site repair, maintenance, and technical support on refuse collection bodies, grapplers, hydraulic systems, and truck‑mounted equipment. Diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues on customer equipment with minimal supervision. Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and component replacements. Document all work performed, parts used, and repair recommendations through service reports and digital systems. Communicate effectively with customers, providing professional support and repair guidance while representing the company's standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked service vehicle to ensure repair readiness. Work closely with the Parts and Service Departments to coordinate parts needs and schedule follow‑up repairs. Promote company capabilities, identify additional service opportunities, and support customer‑relationship development. Apply strong problem‑solving skills to identify root causes, troubleshoot complex failures, and provide effective long‑term repair solutions. Assist with warranty evaluations, proper documentation, and escalation of complex technical issues. Identify service opportunities during field visits and support sales efforts by reinforcing company capabilities Requirements 3+ years of experience as a technician in hydraulics, heavy trucks, refuse equipment, mobile service, or vocational machinery. Strong diagnostics knowledge in hydraulic circuits, electrical troubleshooting, fabrication/welding (preferred), and mechanical assemblies. Ability to interpret schematics, OEM diagrams, and service documentation. Valid driver's license with a clean record; CDL preferred but not required. Willingness to travel daily within the assigned territory with occasional overnight travel. Excellent communication, customer‑service, and problem‑solving abilities. Self‑motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Computer literate and able to use tablets, service software, and reporting applications. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required. Must provide three professional references. Must provide previous employment contact information for verification.
