Job Summary Opportunity to be part of a team developing highly sophisticated commercial wireless products within Wi-Fi, cellular communications (4G/LTE/CAT1/CATM1), GPS, Bluetooth and other advanced network areas. We produce voice and GPS medical pendants and watches for personal health and safety and workforce safety applications. Under the direction of the VP Hardware and Principal Engineer, the Electronics Quality Control Engineer is responsible for reviewing, creating and executing test plans, test procedures, test automation scripts, and requirements traceability documentation to ensure that systems meet specification. The candidate will also be coordinating with and verifying the test results of dev team partners. Also reviewing support issues and identify or create work items associated with issues to be fixed.
Essential Job Functions:
This is a definite QA track rather than development role. Set up test benches with computer, measurement, robotic and software tools Collaborate with embedded development engineers to write test procedures and procedures Follow test plans, execute test procedures, log test results, publish test reports Record data in databases and spreadsheets, analyze data Coordinate with embedded development engineers in debugging and troubleshooting problems Approve software updates for release Use embedded development tools for coding, debugging, and simulation. Work with microcontrollers, sensors, and communication protocols. Perform debugging and troubleshooting of embedded hardware and software. Collaborate with other departments to ensure project success. Job Qualifications /
Skill Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required. 3 years of experience in embedded systems in a test laboratory, manufacturing, or as liaison to OEM or contract manufacturer. Proficiency in using embedded development tools and programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Python). Strong understanding of microcontrollers, sensors, and communication protocols. Professional Quality Certifications desired such as Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Six Sigma, CQE, CQA, CQM or RAB. Embedded OS experience such as Linux, Android, VxWorks, RTOS Embedded systems hardware design or manufacturing, ARM, ESP-32 or other microcontrollers. Must have an eye for details and ability to spot and document deviations from common practice. Excellent problem-solving skills (this position goes beyond mere QA). Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Self-manage with moderate supervision. Team player with a can-do attitude. Results-oriented, able to meet deadlines but also methodical time manager. Attention to detail, focus, follow-up, and follow-through. What's in it for you?
