Job Description
As a Field Controls Specialist, you will foster strong customer relationships and leverage your technical skills on diverse on-site projects. You will ensure the successful delivery of field service, uphold operational standards, and guarantee customer satisfaction. Your role involves providing expert support through on-site installations, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of sophisticated equipment and systems.
Responsibilities:
Spearhead project management activities for customer initiatives, including identifying needs, scheduling, tracking progress, and delivering comprehensive reports. Deliver essential services for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and operation of automation control systems, advanced manufacturing software, drive systems, industrial networks, and related products. Assess and validate the operational integrity of system equipment, acting as the primary liaison for customers on a variety of technical and administrative topics. Contribute to defining, monitoring, and achieving key customer satisfaction metrics to enhance service delivery. Create detailed documentation, including validation project plans, standard operating procedures, qualification summary reports, system audits, technical analyses, and traceability matrices. Maintain clear and consistent communication with both internal teams and customer management to ensure alignment on project specifics and outcomes.Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. Unrestricted authorization to work within the United States. Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to meet project demands. Valid driver's license.Preferred:
Possess 5+ years of relevant experience in a related role. Demonstrated experience in industrial automation within sectors such as Mining, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, Metals, Water/Wastewater, or Oil and Gas. Proficiency in PLC programming, utilizing software such as RSLogix 5, 500, 5000, and FactoryTalk Studio. Familiarity with Studio5000, ControlLogix, and CompactLogix systems. Experience with Ethernet/IP and Stratix Switches. Knowledge of Servo/Motion control principles and applications. Experience with Low Voltage PowerFlex Drives or Medium Voltage Drives products and applications. Understanding of diverse network protocols, including EtherNet, ControlNet, and DeviceNet.Proficiency in:
