Position Description:
Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract opportunity for a Sr Engineering Project Manager with our client located in Redmond, Washington.
Job Responsibilities:
Project planning, scoping, and execution of cross functional development programs from concept through qualification and release. Act as a driving force for helping definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility Own creation and resolution toplex cross functional tradeoff decisions to drive program progress Work with teams to develop project milestones and project estimates Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with ability to work successfully across all engineering disciplines
Lead risk management processes and mitigations
Manage engineering program budget creation, tracking, and budget exceptions
Lead and coordinate interdisciplinary brainstorms and root cause analysis efforts
Ensure steady progress of tasks and identifying and removing stalled or blocked items
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Create and maintainprehensive project documentation
Report to management with detailed status updates and estimation tracking on project deliverables
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
Report and escalate to management as needed
Manage vendor execution to desired schedule, budget, and statement of work
Manage strategic supplier and development partner relationships
Lead integration of our clients airborne SATCOM terminal elements with the aero integrator, defining and managing hardware and software interfaces for the antenna, radome, RF, mechanical, control, and aircraft installation aspects needed to support end-to-end system integration.
Coordinate with the aero integrator on aircraft installation activities affecting hardware and software interfaces, including mechanical fit, RF path considerations, thermal inputs, EMI/EMC coordination, control/software interface definitions, and defined aircraft interface requirements for line-fit or retrofit programs.
Support certification and qualification efforts for our clients-delivered hardware by coordinating documentation, requirementspliance, environmental testing inputs, and installation evidence required from our client for aircraft integration and qualification activities
Partner with antenna, RF, software, mechanical, certification, manufacturing, and external integration teams to resolve interface issues, manage our clients-owned deliverables, and support successful integration of the terminal within the broader airborne connectivity solution.
Job Qualifications:
B.S. in Engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
10+ years of Project Management experience developing and launching integrated Hardware and Software technical products
Proven ability to successfully manage large scale projects and teams that deliver new products to market on schedule and within budget constraints
Experience managing all phases of the product development life cycle
Demonstrated ability to lead collaborative, multi-disciplinary development teams as part of a matrix organization
Experience driving efficiencies and reducing operational or manufacturing costs associated with technical programs
Thrives in a dynamic, highly ambiguous entrepreneurial environment
Ability to collaborate across teams and lead technical teams to structure technology development efforts to meet customer requirements
Capability to work with a variety of stakeholders to establish project plans including scope of work, schedules and budget
Proven success for developing rapport and managing expectations by effectivelymunicating project status to all levels of the organization.
Skills to create and maintain project schedules in Microsoft Project, monitor project team progress and adjust as required to assess risks and control scope
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification desired
Experience supporting airborne SATCOM terminal integration as a subsystem provider, including antenna/radome, RF, mechanical, software/control, and installation interface coordination with aircraft integrators and external partners.
Working knowledge of airborne qualification and installation considerations relevant to our clients hardware, including DO-160 environmental testing, EMI/EMC coordination, thermal and structural constraints, and airworthiness-related integration inputs.
Ability to lead integration troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, RF, and software/control interfaces for our clients-delivered hardware, with experience supporting ground and flight test execution alongside aero integrators and system partners.
Familiarity with airborne interface and installation standards, along with experience coordinating technical deliverables, hardware and software interface definitions, and integration activities with certification teams, installers, and aero integrators.
