Your Role:
As an AV Systems Designer, you'll be instrumental in bringing our clients' visions to life. Your day-to-day will involve:
Attend design and project kick-off meetings and other project-related meetings as necessary. Develop and draft infrastructure and installation documentation, including ground plans, floor plans, RCPs, sections/elevations, conduit plans/risers, etc. Coordinate with outside architects and engineers to coordinate CCI Solutions' design scope for new or existing building designs. • Develop 3D models using Sketchup and other modeling software where required to provide a resource for speaker design, acoustical design, house lighting design, theatrical lighting design, and other software applications. • Develop Audio, Video, and Lighting shop drawings consisting of one-line schematics, rack elevations, special connection details, and custom plate drawings. Review bills of material for accuracy and release for procurement. Respond to technical questions from the Field Installation team during installation and update installation documentation as needed. Maintain relationships with vendors through meetings, education, and consistent communication. Develop and maintain knowledge of current and new technologies the company offers. Assist with the development and implementation of technical standards and processes. Collaborate with the Design/Engineering Manager to develop and maintain a consistent continuing education plan. We're Looking for Someone With:
Extensive performance Audio/Video/Lighting systems knowledge, including 5 years of design, installation, technical theatrical, or touring/production experience. In-depth knowledge of construction documentation, including floor plans, RCPs, building sections, schematics, and riser diagrams. Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet or exceed project-driven deadlines. Ability and desire to work in a team-oriented culture. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel Software Working knowledge of: Design and CAD programs such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, and D-Tools. Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Audio system modeling programs such as EASE, Soundvision, ArrayCalc, and/or others. Audio distribution utilizing QSys DSP, L-Acoustics, Symetrix, or similar. Video distribution utilizing SDI, HDBaseT, and AV-Over-IP. Control system design utilizing QSys, Extron, or similar. Networking system topology and an understanding of TCP/IP routing and switching. Position Details:
