Contract / Project-Based Position Overview IntelEnergy Partners is seeking a licensed electrical contractor to support the installation and commissioning of advanced energy monitoring and management systems in commercial and industrial facilities. This role focuses on installing monitoring equipment, integrating electrical measurement systems, and ensuring safe, code-compliant connections to electrical panels and major energy-consuming assets. The contractor will play a key role in helping clients gain visibility into their energy usage and identify opportunities to reduce operating costs. Key Responsibilities Install energy monitoring hardware and electrical metering equipment within commercial and industrial facilities Safely connect current transformers (CTs), meters, and monitoring devices to electrical distribution panels Ensure all installations comply with local electrical codes, NEC standards, and safety regulations Conduct site assessments to determine optimal installation locations for monitoring equipment Coordinate with Best Energy project managers and engineers to execute monitoring system deployments Troubleshoot electrical connections and ensure accurate data collection from monitored circuits Label and document installations, panel connections, and monitored loads Assist with commissioning and verification of installed monitoring systems Maintain a clean and safe job site and follow all safety protocols Qualifications Active Electrical Contractor License (state or local as required) Proven experience working with commercial or industrial electrical systems Strong familiarity with electrical panels, breakers, CT installations, and power distribution systems Ability to read electrical drawings and panel schedules Knowledge of NEC codes and electrical safety standards Experience with energy monitoring systems, submetering, or building automation systems is a plus Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with project teams Preferred Experience Installation of energy meters, submeters, or monitoring devices Experience working in restaurants, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, or hospitality environments Familiarity with data-driven energy management systems such as Eniscope or similar platforms Compensation Competitive project-based or daily compensation Opportunity for ongoing work as monitoring systems are deployed across additional sites About IntelEnergy Partners IntelEnergy helps commercial and industrial clients reduce utility costs by providing advanced energy monitoring technology and data-driven efficiency strategies .
